This is a 4-week online group course for the Cambridge C1 Advanced exam, designed for learners who want to take the C1 Advanced exam without spending a long time preparing for it.
What’s included in the C1 Advanced Online Intensive?
Live sessions (30 hours)
The live sessions are the core of the course. Each session gives you training and practice in a specific part of the C1 exam, as well as the opportunity to develop your own English. These 90-minute sessions are interactive and engaging, with a focus on communication and using English in practical ways.
Independent study (30+ hours)
The self-study calendar gives you guidance on language practice, skills tasks, and exam training you can do each day in your own time. This is an ideal way to keep your studying on track and to organise your time during the course.
Mock exams
Complete up to four mock exams during the course with complete feedback and suggestions for improvement. You’ll have the opportunity for regular speaking exam practice, giving you the confidence you need to excel on exam day.
Tutorials and feedback
You can arrange meetings with your teacher to discuss your progress and help you set goals for your continued learning and development.
When can I take the C1 Advanced exam?
You will be assisted in finding your local exam centre, where you can sit the Cambridge C1 Advanced exam, when you enrol on the course. You can take the exam in traditional paper format or Digital format at your exam centre. Fees vary per centre, but the C1 usually costs around 195€. The exam fees are not included in the course fees.
When are the classes?
The classes will be scheduled on an on-demand basis once you have enrolled on the course.

Who is the C1 Advanced Online Intensive for?
This course is for anyone who is keen to sit the C1 Advanced exam as soon as possible. The course provides an intensive preparation for the C1 exam, as well as giving a good overview of a lot of grammar and vocabulary that you will need for the exam. Although it can be helpful to have studied at C1 level before you sit the course, this is not a requirement.
Can I take the course if I don’t have the B2 First Certificate?
Yes, of course! There’s no need to have taken a Cambridge English exam before. What is important that you have a high level of English, since 30 hours of class is likely not enough time to improve your English level by any significant amount.
How do I know I’ve got the right level for the course?
The first step is to book a free consultation meeting which will give you a chance to find out in full about the C1 Advanced Online Intensive. Once you have booked your consultation, you will be sent a link to a short online level test. I will use this, in combination with the consultation, to check that the course is right for you.
When and where can I take the C1 exam?
When you enrol on the course, you’ll be assisted in finding your nearest exam centre and completing the enrolment for the C1 exam.
Can you guarantee I’ll pass the C1?
I’m afraid not! I have extensive experience preparing learners for C1 in both general and intensive courses, and I have designed this course using this experience. The course offers you everything you need to pass. Remember that learning a language is not an exact science. You will need a serious and dedicated attitude, as well as attending all the classes and completing the assigned tasks, to have the highest chances in achieving success in the exam.
I’ve heard that if I pass C1 with a high mark, I’ll get the C2. Is that right?
That’s just a myth, I’m sorry to say. If you get a great mark in the C1 you can get a certificate saying you demonstrated ability at C2 level. However, the skills and language ability at C1 and C2 are very different, and so the C1 certificate (no matter how good your result is) will be just that.
